Treble Clef

I've been asked frequently where I get my ideas. Without any pretensions, and I do hope this wont sound like a cliche, all I can say is that people inspires me. I said before that I don't make any philosophy out of my work but I do involve a lot of emotions ( I even shared a few tears while making some of them ).
I mostly do my cards by order. Some of my clients I know personally, more or less, and there are many I have never met but somehow I do feel like I know them while listening to their wishes and stories. Luckily, they all know what they want, so that makes things much easier to do. Or they just let me to make my own choices, which is also great.
I admit I enjoy most in thinking what to make and when I get the idea I have to make it instantly. It's not always so easy. People order my cards for special events and for their closest family members or friends so I have to think of many things. First, I have to be satisfied with my quilling. Then, I think if customer would be pleased with it and, finally, it has to be the right one for the recipient. But, it seems like I hit the point because most of them get back with new orders.
This framed violin wasn't suppose to be done this way. Every day I listen to a young boy who is a piano player, a great talent so I heard. His name is Filip and I wanted to make Cyrillic letter F ( ''Ф " ) with keyboard on the left and notes on the right side. I changed my mind since it's been awhile since I hanged some framed work on my wall. Letter  "F ""  is going to be my next one. Maybe.
I've been asked many times how I do my letters. There is not so much difference in this violin key and some of my letters. I decided to show process of making this one. Stripe, the black one that goes around the key, is 200gsm paper, 1.1cm wide. It's perfect for making letters. I rarely use patterns. I'm lousy with brush, pen etc. It's much easier to me to take a scissors and make a shape to avoid drawing.
From these wide black stripes, I cut small shapes and roll it a bit, just to make more dimension. You can see through it's holes, it's kind a cute. I think I'll do this many times in the future. I cut black paper, the same hard one, glue a stripes of ivory and black quilling paper. I have to thank, again, to Marylin for giving me an opportunity to work with quilling paper. It's really magical. I keep it in my drawer, look at it all the time and this was the perfect moment to use it.
So, when I did the keys, I glue it to the stripes of black paper which is pretty difficult to do.

These letters are only 0.5cm high, and the one in cone are maybe even half of it. Yes, I should say what that means! These are words of Ludwig van Beethoven:"Real art lasts for eternity", or something like that.
I tried to take many shots, in the morning, at sunset, under artificial light...bad photos. It's not so dark in live but I do hope you can see what needs to be seen.
I like the way red paper shows.
This photo shows bass keys of Beethoven's Sonate 9,  "The Ode to Joy".
And, this is it. Thanks for visiting my blog. Enjoy your day!

Card Inspired by Sandy

One of those nights, I spent my time looking at Sandy's work from sweetspotcards. I did soak every single card she made and it definitely made an influence on me because late that nigh, when I wanted to make a card, I made something that, I would love to say, looked much like hers. She certainly has to make an influence on you. If there is some of you who, by any chance, still didn't see her fantastic cards, filled with humor, I recommend to do so!
And, I have another quiller, Cheryl, whose work I admire, too, filled with imagination and even dream her cards. I'll show it to you later an in meantime, if you haven't, go and visit her blog.

Pirot Kilim

And one more "M" for today

Another "M"

Cherry Blossom "M"

Wedding Anniversary Card

Walking Through My Street...

116 Wedding InvitationCards

Here are wedding cards I was quilling for Milica and Boban a whole last month. I had to make extra 15 cards and I took a chance and made one more for myself, as a sample. Luckily, there were left enough paper ( just for 16 more ) and everything turned out well.
I wish them happy marriage.

More Weddings These Days

Speaking of weddings...I made two more, actually three but one has already been seen on this blog...So, just a quick post with a "few" pictures.
And, of course, our famous pockets that, sometimes, give me so much trouble.
And just one more because I love this flower!

Here I am!

It's been a while since my last post. First of all, I want to thank all of you new readers, thanks for joining, and to all of you who had left so lovely comments, and, it's not a phrase, that made my days. I had no time to thank you all personally, so I'm doing it now.
Last month was full of excitement. Due to our week news, we had a Royal wedding, enjoyed in it and waited to see all those lovely hats were wering. So, I was in wedding planing, making 100 wedding invitations, that means 200 hats, sooooo many dots and stuff...it looked so easy to do but...ohhh...If I force myself to make another hat in the next few months, I'll post it LOL. Just kidding, they were really nice, bride and groom are satisfied, what's more important. My friend Marilyn received her M, it arrived safely, what made me so happy. I was a little bit afraid but if you consider with how much love it was made...no wonder it flew safely.
Those two pictures, I worked with professor Ljiljana Lolic, I spoke about before. She cats out small pieces of passepartout, just like every paper passionate person who nothing throws away, and makes a mosaic. I was fascinated when I saw them because her colors matched so well with mine paper. So, we came up on idea to combine her leftovers with mine. We are having first fair in a two weeks and I hope we will be able to do more of these stuffs. We have wonderful weather now, so I could drop by her wonderful garden ( she has the most beautiful lemon three you've ever seen ) and have some fun with mosaics.
